Yesterday i went to the Liquid heat treatment factory, I been to a few heat treatment places in the past and basically they were a big room filled with hugh ovens and lots of parts were put into each oven and heated by air.
The liquid heat treatment place was nothing like these places but just a series of wells i have taken pictures to explain the process better as i think its important you guys see where SA products are made before parting with your hard earned money.
Ok, so here goes...
The 1st stage is to wash the products this is done by basically boiling the frames in water to remove anything left over from production.
The 2nd stage the products get dried by a air drier
The 3rd stage the products are placed into an open air oven which is heated to 850c and left in there for 15 minutes
The 4th stage is the liquid part the products are placed in a bath of nitrate which completely covers the whole products inside and out you can see by the color of the well inside its hot! 880c and is left in there for 2 hrs!
The 5th stage after the nitrate bath the products are placed in oil to remove any nitrate as its extremely corrosive and also it helps with cooloing
The 6th stage the products are placed into another boiling water bath and shaken, this is to remove any oil or nitrate still left
The 7th stage the products are washed again by hand to make 100% sure there are no foreign bodies left and then taken away to another factory for painting.
Yes it was HOT in there.
